One hurricane and your roof is gone.
@FrugalRepair did you ever face a screen where the 4 cornors are bleeding red but when watching a movie everthing gets covered based in the scene and the bleeding screen gets coverd up like its not even there
I’ve seen solarized images, not sure if that’s the same you are describing. I would try this isolation technique and see if it’s the lcd panel at fault. Next I would suspect the tcon board.
This guy used your footage for his video, not sure if you know or not ruclips.net/video/qPxaZR-EA4Y/видео.html
I apologize but I didn’t understand the $.47 per Watt Hour for the cost…
@@scooterbananas Right after you sugma
@@scooterbananasRight after you sugma
Sorry if I did not explain that well enough. This is a way to compare costs with other full battery systems like a Tesla Powerwall. So you add up the cost of the whole system and divide by the amount of storage (watt-hours). The $.47/wh I mentioned is after the 30% fed credit. My estimate is for all of the equipment that I had in the video (15.36KwH) but does not include labor. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Hmm. I like the time off use feature. I wonder how much money is save vs not seeing this up.
Everyone has to do the math to make sure the cost savings and payback period is good for them when using getting batteries for TOU savings. The auto-transfer for power outages is great too so you have to put your own value on it. Let me know if you have other questions and I'll try my best to answer.
I like your content! I have tried fixing my TV with tape as you mention and it did worked! I still have 4 horizontal lines but I least I can watch tv almost normal! you same my wallet! Cheers! 🍻
Congrats! Thanks for watching.
Broke my tv over a fking game😭😭😭
I’m not sure I’ll finish the video. But I hope he mentioned, not just what he’d save in the electric bill, but by doing this himself.
ruclips.net/video/bQQRWm18Rpo/видео.html
What about connecting anker solix x1 anker smart panal connecting like tesla powerwall 3 will work
I just put out a video on installing the Anker Home Power Panel.
Im surprised Ive never seen anybody just use the panels themselves for the roof instead of tiles, would make for a very clean look! I can imagine its to do with regulation.
Thought you were the guy from impractical jokers lol
You gotta know something about mechanics......seriously , what the hell is a " junky vacum"?? 3:29
Thanks for the video.. At the 4 minute mark, you mean horizontal lines not vertical right?
Meanwhile in Australia it's completely illegal to even change a PowerPoint or light switch yourself lol
i have an enphase solar 11.8kw array, will this work perfectly fine without issues?
It should work just fine. Where is your solar point of connection? If you are backfeeding through a breaker(s) it should be easier to get the current sensor (CT) on the one 120v leg. If you are like me, with a line side tap, it may be a little more of a challenge getting the CT on one of those wires because of where they are located.
Thanks for the video. Helped me to fix my instant pot. I had different terminal which had the same issue.
Omg thank you everywhere else was saying to put it to trip A but nothing happened it was the odometer it needed to be on
All solar panels must face South and at 45 degrees angle for Optimum usage. Initial cost, maintenance (climbing the roof, cleaning, etc.) replacing batteries every 4 to 5 years, plus some electrical knowledge and codes, and all the labor involve, yup remember well.
So I have a IPS monitor with a couple of horizontal lines at the bottom. It has only one ribbon cable from the main board to the panel. I tried taping some parts of it but I only get black screen then. Is it possible to fix it with tape? Maybe should I have to just tap on the pin corresponding to the problem? Thanks!
With only one cable going in to the lcd panel, you may not have redundant row signals to block. Or at least not easily. There may be row signals being sent from each side of the panel but my guess is to block one side you may need to physically cut into the driver board then solder back the lines you don't want to block.
Yeah no bills , he paid 20000 usd for solar as it is the same paying over 20 years electrical bill , not including to change batteries every 2 to 4 years , and system maintenace which is not cheap, and the worth is panels efficiency lifetime is 25 years max, And the worth of worth panels are not recyclable . Hurrray what an investment.
LOL, how do you know what I spent? Watch my videos with the financial breakdowns. You didn't watch this one because there are no batteries even mentioned. This has been a fantastic investment.
@@FrugalRepair soon or later you will install batteries😀 else your system will fail at winter season.
You don’t understand what net metering is.
@@FrugalRepair Realy , let me tel you that i understand net metering and ongrid system , as for offgrid and hybrid , but 😔 in my opinion and experience solar inverter is ideal for remote area, else its a bad investment. So you like or not its up to you.
B/C ratio here to find out if it's worth it.
Awesome Rhys, hope to see you at VidSummit again this year!
Very cool. Always love these cool battery / solar setups.

Crack fuel line at one of injectors
Good thought. But I’m a little hesitant to open it up at the injector, maybe it’s easier than I think. If I have to do this again I might just connect a vacuum on the fuel line as close to the second filter as I can.
You need to bleed the fuel line
This is BOSS level DIY 👏
Thanks for watching!
How is cleaning underneath the solar panels?
There is no need to. I have had to move a wire once but I could reach underneath and move it.
What components do I need to change in this pot to make it run on a 220-volt outlet?
Sorry, I don’t know all that would need to change. Probably too much to make it worth it.
@@FrugalRepair Thanks for the reply
Are you accounting for the cost of removing and reattaching the panels when you need a new roof? Curious how much that eats into your ROI
I don't think there is a need to. Because I put panels on when I put a new roof on, I'm expecting the roof to last much longer than without the panels. With electricity prices climbing my payback period is close to 5 years. After the 5 years I have 20-25 more years of warranty on everything so it will all be profit then. If I need to replace the shingles by the end of that warranty, I'll probably be looking at putting in the new tech at that point.
Don’t forget the initial cost, like buying a new car….brilliant.
Cool, I love buying thousands of dollars worth of lead/acid batteries and new solar panels every 10 years, yahoo. P.s.you can’t recycle solar panels so at the end of the day, solar is very selfish.
LOL, I didn't install any batteries. Watch my videos on why this is a great financial investment if interested.
nice video... macro lens ? like a lens that you wear on your eye ? or
I am using a reverse ring to use a camera lens backwards.
I'm curious as to how the power company feels about the system back feeding to the grid when working on the lines? You hear all the time about the supposed danger of generators back feeding and the need for an interlock or transfer switch to protect the linemen. Does the bi-directional meter do something to allow it to shut off the back feed?
It is a requirement that you can not backfeed. A power company guy was just at my house and told me his group was working with a crew from out of town and one of workes almost died (he lost both of his arms) because someone was running a generator (presumably) and backfeeding illegally during a power outage. The approved equipment all have auto-shutdown so they do not backfeed in this scenario.
@@FrugalRepairgood to know!
Well done. Looking good will you also lay down the other half of the roof in the future?
Thanks! I don't think I would put panels on the north (back) side of the roof. It doesn't get that much direct sun throughout the year.
My monitor Samsung c24fg70 need an exorcist!!! it's quite annoying cause I see vertical artifacts every day I turn the PC and have to wait up from 5 minutes to 10 minutes to see my screen working well. it's something on the monitor, when I connect to PC via HDMI works well, but when it is displayport this is the problem. Tried with 2 different graphics card, tried with more than 1 displayport. The mess is this monitor, sold as 144hz, only shows 144hz when on displayport. If I connect with HDMI it gets hooked to 120hz. Maybe it's time to trash this samsung and never buy samsung again (it's is a problem since the start, long story reported to them, bot nothing done)
I'm sorry about that. I'm not sure what to tell you.
@@FrugalRepair Sorry my friend, this wasn't a rant on you, but instead a big frustration with the brand. I have recently bought a portable monitor 144hz for 130 euros and works much better than the 400 euros monitor. I have done all that is in my reach on this sh*tty samsung, checked the entire mainboard, the connector. Much more frustrating is if by any chance I try to swap the mainboard, it cost 85 Euros + shipping. I guess my bes approach is to buy a new Arzopa 144hz portable monitor that works perfectly fine. I only posted this comment and description, there was no generic solution (ie: a capacitor) In fact the symptom appears to be a resistor or capacitor, as the problem is always the 5 to 10 minutes until the artifacts disappear (it was left to say that the artifacts , vertical, take up my entire screen, preventing me from interacting with the menu). Another thing is, I've tried setting the monitor to 60hz, 120, 144 and the problem is always the same. Anyway, thank you very much for your feedback.
this was awesome.thank you
Thanks for watching!

Same model same problem well the same code. Tearing it apart to check it out now.
My tv just gave out. I have the tcl google tv. Same exact problem. Only thing is I’m scared to open it up and potentially break something else but I wanna attempt this because not having a tv rn sucks. Ugh wish me luck 😭
You got this!
Hello, love your videos on cheap fix! My tv have the similar issues: no pictures, no menus, no usual on off Samsung sounds when turning on off. I was able to get sound with the typical tape strip trick. The model is UN58TU7000F It's less than 4 years old and hate to trash it if an easy fix can be done, can it?
I'm not sure what you mean by getting sound with tape strip trick. What else have you tried to do to diagnose the TV? Did you watch my video on diagnosing a TV without opening it up?
@@FrugalRepair I've tried the most common fix, ie reset tv and power. It still has no pictures and tv turn on/off sounds.
tcl is shit brand. I have a 55 inch like this and the same thing happened to me. I put a piece of tape covering 10-12 pins where the ribbon cable seats. fixed the issure. But I have horrible horizontal lines and dark spots on the right side of the screen now. Note the horizontal lines were there prior to the first issue but after fixing the black light problem or whatever the black area came about. Tv is barley a year old
you just paid 10 years of electric bill up front xD
Right signals
My boyfriend just did this to my 58” Vizio, and it worked. Thank you!
Awesome! Tell him congrats for me.
